VICODI – Visual Contextualisation of Digital Content

The overall objective of VICODI was to enhance human comprehension of digital cultural content on the Internet. This was realised by introducing a novel visualisation and contextualisation environment for digital content. Salzburg Research developed innovate SVG (scalable vector graphics) based creation and publication of dynamically generated interactive maps which allow users retrieving archive and library content according to the location and time of the historic document. Users can also submit documents which are automatically annotated with hyperlinks to historical concepts and to related historical documents.
