Passive monitoringcan be used to observe and analyse data traffic on links without influencing them. They provide a detailed image of the data traffic on a specific link and build the basis for a detailed determination of actual load conditions, traffic characteristics etc.
Passive Monitoring features include:
- Tracing data on high-speed ATM/ Tracing data on high-speed ATM/ PoS links PoS links
- Preprocessing traced data using simple filters
- Storing traced data in a central database
- Applying mathematical-statistical analyses and complex filters on stored on stored data
- Graphical User Interface (GUI) for the browsing of results
