OIKS – Open Innovation Kompetenzplattform Salzburg
Open Innovation Competence Platform: Digital idea platform for Salzburg issues
The Open Innovation Competence Platform Salzburg is the digital idea platform (so-called crowdsourcing platform) for Salzburg issues. The collaborative form of online cooperation can be used in many areas where creativity, new ideas and constructive opinions are in demand: in the generation of ideas for new products and services.
In the age of digitalisation, open innovation opens up new ways of generating innovative ideas with the early involvement of creative and interested knowledge providers such as customers, users, suppliers or experts from other companies, regions and often even sectors. They all contribute with their knowledge and experience to the development of new solutions. In this way, products and services are developed that are more closely aligned with the ideas of the users and thus have greater success.
How companies benefit
On the platform Open Innovation Salzburg, many participants deal intensively with different questions. Through the digital networking of idea providers and the motivation of the target group, financial, time and organisational costs can be minimised. If the project is enthusiastic, contributors can quickly become ambassadors. The collaborative form of online cooperation can be used in many areas where creativity, new ideas and constructive opinions are needed: in the generation of ideas for new products and services.
How people can participate
The Salzburg Open Innovation Platform is all about ideas: Idea generators help solve questions and problems, work on ideas alone or together with others and get honest feedback from the community. Everybody is welcome, and it doesn’t matter if you are not from Salzburg but still have good ideas for Salzburg issues.
Our contribution
As an expert in digital open innovation methods, Salzburg Research contributes to increasing the innovation performance and capacity of companies and educational institutions. In the project, we support the development of the regional crowd, accompany and evaluate the implementation, impact and quality of the open ideas competition. In addition, success factors are identified together with the consortium and worked out how the solutions selected in the ideas competition are then implemented in practice.
Consortium: ITG, Salzburg Research, FH Salzburg, Seeburg Private University, University of Salzburg and Land Salzburg (province of Salzburg).
