EP2010 – The Future of Research into Publishing, Content and Knowledge Technologies

EP2010 analysed the trends in research, development, and usage of new technologies for future digital publishing and content services. The study provided key orientations for policy makers through a research roadmap that takes account of the larger visions of Semantic Web, Ambient Intelligence, and new forms of content generation and distribution. The recommendations of the study supported the European Commission’s activities within the Sixth Framework Programme that aimed to strengthen the competitiveness of the European content industries and ICT providers for the digital economy and information society.
