Dr. Veronika Hornung-Prähauser, MAS, graduated from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, European Studies at the University of Amsterdam and received her doctorate in communication science from the Center for Information and Communication Technologies & Society (ICT&S) at the University of Salzburg. She holds a Master in Systemic Organizational Development & Change Management (University of Vienna-Klagenfurt, IFF). Since 2001 she has been working in the interdisciplinary field of “Innovation Studies” at the Landesforschungsgesellschaft Salzburg Research, currently as head of the InnovationLab. This researches and supports companies and organizations in the economic and social integration of “digital innovations” in various fields of application, including the Internet of Things, mobility & energy, health, social innovation, tourism and culture.
Her research focuses and interests are the systemic dynamics in the innovation early phase, new approaches for innovation management (innovation mindset; exploration, crowd participation and change management) as well as success factor research on open innovation methods and tools.
