Diana Wieden-Bischof is a researcher in the applied innovation research department “Innovation & Value Creation” at Salzburg Research. Her research work focuses primarily on digital innovation and open innovation in various fields of application, including tourism, the sports and leisure industry, health, mobility and energy, urban and regional development. She is particularly interested in new approaches, methods and processes for involving the crowd and stakeholders (co-creation methods; crowd motivation & participation, crowdsourcing, crowd-generated content) in the early innovation phase. Since 2019, she has been significantly involved in setting up the idea platform Open Innovation Salzburg (http://www.openinnovation-salzburg.at) and has initiated and accompanied numerous idea competitions.
Background / Expertise
Diana Wieden-Bischof studied communication science and economics at the University of Salzburg. She graduated in the field of customer relationship management in tourism (2004). She also completed various further training courses in digital idea management, crowdfunding, online communities, e-moderating, project management and social entrepreneurship.
