Salzburg Research at the Children’s town
On July 5-7, 2011 Salzburg Research was working with children at the Children’s town “Mini- Salzburg”. For three days we showed them how to program Lego Mindstorms robots. The young researchers were programming with much enthusiasm and let the robots race through courses. Subsequently, the children’s opinion was required. When asked about the most-used Internet site, Facebook was undoubtedly at the top.
Besides exhausting polls and programming they were also creative with paper and pencil. The result is what everyone wants: robots that take care of the housework and homework – or sometimes simply can do everything. All in all, they had exciting and rewarding three days, both the children and their tutors.
