Implementation of an information platform for digitisation projects in Austria
The Austrian Digital Heritage Initiative has implemented on the national level the objectives of the European Ministerial Network for Valorising Activities in Digitisation (MINERVA). These objectives were to gain a good overview of ongoing and planned projects for digitisation of cultural content and provide advise on digitisation guidelines and best practice.
Salzburg Research was commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Education, Science and Culture to collect information on digitisation projects in Austria and implement an online platfomr as reference and information library. These activities were accompanied by a variety of presentations of the initiative in workshops at major Austrian institutions and European conferences.
