ICT-enhanced Equipment Prototyping and Testing
The sporting goods industry often doesn’t gather client and user feedback in a systematic way. Through structuring and electronic processing of the gathered data, this project tries to bridge that gap. The results obtained from this process can be used for future strategic decisions in the field of product development.
The sporting goods industry often doesn’t gather client and user feedback in a systematic way. This leads to a lack of long-term data accessible for future product developments and incremental innovations. In order to bridge that gap, the aim of this project is to structure and electronically process the collected data. The developed prototype allows for the automated, electronic and structured information transfer of generated product test data from field tests back to the development and production departments. This allows for the generation of new knowledge (supported by analysis tools) that can be used as a basis for future strategic decisions in the field of product development.
