The baby elephant is going digital: Salzburg Research is working together with prototyping specialist Clemens Mayer on the “EventFant” smart badge, which is supposed to ensure sufficient distance between people.

The smart badge “eventFant” is supposed to make conferences and meetings more secure. Based on RSSI field strength, it will use vibration and visual feedback to support the participants in maintaining a sufficient distance from one another. With the combination of psychological knowledge, gamification elements and efficient use of technology, effective behaviour change is to be achieved. In addition, it will offer the possibility of anonymous visitor flow analyses.

The prototype is scientifically monitored and evaluated.
