Maker Days 2018 – Day 2
After the successful start on 2.3.18, the second date oft he Maker Days 2018 followed on Friday, 9.3. Under the motto “Analog meets Digital”, children and young people can take part in different stations under the guidance of Maker Professionals to let off steam creatively.
The booked second appointment was all about robots and 3D printing. The participants were able to design creative Easter objects using the 3D pen “Doodler” or the 3D printer of the Salzburg Research Station. Cool Vibrobots robobots or jumping robotic Hare from LEGO were built at the other two stations and then played with it. The plants used in the first appointment in upcycling flower pots are exhibited on each of the four Maker Days. Thus, the growth of plantlets can be admired from appointment to appointment.
With well over 40 participants, the Maker Days recorded a new visitor record. From kindergartners to accompanying grandparents, all generations of technology were thrilled.
The Maker Days 2018 are organized by Salzburg Research in cooperation with the city library Stadt:Bibliothek and the Spektrum association and in cooperation with partner institutions (e.g. e² Young Engineers on the second date).
On Friday, March 16, we will continue with the Maker Days: take photos with an instant camera or home-made cameras and produce your own cartoon from individual pictures with plasticine figures.
