Creative competition: Vibrations & waves for the Doppler effect
What do airplanes, fast cars, radar, beating hearts and the stars in the sky have in common? Their speed is measured by means of a physical principle discovered by the world-famous Salzburg natural scientist, Christian Andreas Doppler. His “Doppler Effect” is of medical and technical benefit for billions of people. Many inventions go back to the so-called “millennium effect”, which was discovered 175 years ago. Within the framework of the anniversary year, we call on young people in Salzburg to become creative:
Within the scope of the theme “Vibrations & waves in connection with the Doppler effect” your creativity is unlimited. Drawings, experiments, apps, simulations, costumes, texts or pieces of music, sculptures, etc. – whatever comes up your mind, create your work and submit it until 15.5.2017.
