The Long Night of Research once again proved to be a crowd puller. In the State of Salzburg over 7,000 enthusiasts went to explore 114 research stations at eleven different locations during Austria’s largest research event. Doors were opened, which would normally remain closed to the public. The Long Night of Research offered here an opportunity to look behind the scenes of the internationally renowned research in the State of Salzburg.

Eleven research institutions, including Salzburg Research, granted insights into their research. About 400 researchers were answering questions until 11 p.m. A free ticket for public transport provided for the smooth transport from one locations to the next.

The next Long Night of Research will be organised in April 2018.
