„Fit with ILSE“ to the Age

Research is looking for efficient, socially acceptable solutions to meet the immense challenges of demographic change. Modern technologies that support older people and caring relatives in their daily lives play a key role with their innovative strength. Increasing comfort and safety requirements, the desire for integration into the direct, familiar living environment and support for independence and mobility (freedom) into old age can be addressed through AAL (Active and Ambient Living). An example is “Fit with ILSE”:

Technically Assisted Movement Program for the Generation 55+

Fit with ILSE is a combination of personal coaching and technology-based training in your own home. With the help of personal care and new technologies, the 55+ generation can maintain or even improve their fitness. Muscle strength, cardiovascular function and balance are promoted. A coach develops an individually adapted exercise program that can be carried out independently with the help of a tablet, TV set and fitness bracelet at home.

By August 2019, the first test phase was in over 100 households in Vienna and Salzburg. The test phase was scientifically monitored. Among other things, she examined the effect on the functional fitness and the quality of life of the subjects. From September 2019, a second test phase will start in which more functions will be offered and lessons learned from the first phase will be implemented.
