Technology for disabled people
Instead of investing money into Christmas presents or Christmas cards, Salzburg Research sponsored the Anna-Bertha-Königsegg School in Salzburg for children with severe disabilities. For those children new technologies offer the only possibility to get in contact with others. Speech output hardware, special computer keyboards and learning software enable joining in a conversation and assist to build an ability to communicate.
Salzburg Research employees collected money and backed the company’s amount of sponsored money. On December 16th, CEO Siegfried Reich and Julia Eder, member of the Works Council, handed over the lerning technology for people with disabilities to director Harald Probst and speech trainer Herta Natiesta.
